It’s less than two months until the Canberra Convention! Rumour has it that there will be a strong South Australian contingent. The Committee for the 2015 Convention will certainly be there. Good progress has been made on organising what we’ll need for our registration and advertising stall and our To Do List is gradually diminishing as we make final preparations for promoting our own Convention at Canberra. Our dressed set costumes are nearly completed and will look stunning on the ladies thanks to all the hard work by Janine and Jan. All thoughts of stage-fright were forgotten when we had our first practice run for the “handover” which will take place at the end of this year’s event.
We know that with the Canberra national convention looming, the last thing you will be thinking of is Adelaide’s 2015 National. After all, it’s not until next year! However for those nomads in caravans in particular, you will need to book caravan park accommodation for 2015 as soon as possible and definitely before the annual Easter holiday makers rebook for the following year. Don’t leave it too late!
Our website www.adelaide2015.com now has a Downloads page so that dancers can download and print some of the documents that we have produced. These will mainly be of benefit to interstate and international dancers; so do let your interstate and overseas friends know about these. Another addition to the website is the Callers and Cuers page, which will gradually take shape as callers and cuers register and send us their resumés. Keep an eye on this page and you’ll see who will be on stage in 2015.

We are also busy exploring other avenues of sponsorship, and starting to plan our own opening ceremony here in Adelaide next year. It will be here before we know it!
