Just a year and a half to go until our Adelaide Convention! It will be here before we know it.
Did you see our banners at Freeling at the end of August? We will be displaying them at other Society dances in the lead up to the Convention in April 2015. And did you collect a fridge magnet - a great little memory jogger!
We are hoping to get a lot of interstate and international dancers in 2015, and if you would like to show them some real South Australian hospitality why not host a couple. It would be a great way to make new friends, and they may return the favour when you visit their state or country. Contact one of the committee if you’d like to be a host.
Talking of international dancers, our registration form is now available for them to download from our website www.adelaide2015.com so they can book their places and start planning their holidays. Did you know that there are square dance clubs in China? A lady in Beijing has very kindly offered to translate information for dissemination to all the square dance clubs in her city.
The Convention Committee dressed sets for next year’s Canberra Convention are beginning to take shape. Skirt lengths have been measured and material purchased. The girls are excited about the new addition to their wardrobe.
Will you be going to Canberra next April? Help support South Australia’s promotion of the 2015 Convention in Adelaide by providing a big SA contingent at next year’s National.
We are continuing to contact overseas clubs and callers and our first advertisement in the British magazine “Let’s Square Dance” appeared in the September edition. If you have overseas square dancing contacts please let them know about our Convention, and point them to our website!
